Description: |
The goal of prevention services for Injection Drug Users/Sexual Partners is to reduce the spread of HIV by reducing the frequency of behaviors known to be high risk for the spread of HIV and by strengthening community norms which support lower risk behaviors among the target population. |

Description: |
The goal of Primary Prevention for Positives (P3) is to prevent the transmission of HIV from HIV positive individuals to others. HIV prevention efforts are shifted from the traditional focus on increasing education and awareness to HIV negative persons to providing support and education to individuals who are HIV-positive. |

Description: |
The goal of this program is to decrease HIV infection and re-infection among high-risk persons of color by increasing the number of those persons, including partners, receiving counseling and testing, test results, and relevant referrals. VCC provides outreach, education and on-site Orasure testing to high-risk individuals. |

Mpowerment Project |
Description: |
The Mpowerment Project is a national model HIV prevention program that is designed to specifically address the needs of young gay and bisexual men. The project mobilizes young gay/bisexual men to shape a healthy community for themselves, build positive social connections, and support their friends to have safer sex. The Mpowerment Project at VCC provides HIV prevention/education to Latino male migrant workers ages 18 to 30 with an emphasis on stigma reduction related to HIV and homosexuality. |
