Program Name: |
Hombres Sanos Project |
Description: |
The goal of Hombres Sanos is to increase the number of males who access male health exams. Males ages 25 and older who are farmworkers, partners of prenatal patients and/or low-income community residents can access a free, comprehensive male exam. The male health exam includes: examination of the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, abdomen, heart and lungs. Men participating in this program also receive a comprehensive reproductive exam which includes testing for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and will receive 30 condoms. In addition, program participants will be screened for anemia, diabetes and cholesterol. This program is free for income-eligible participants. |

If you are interested in planning the number, timing and spacing of your children, our Family Planning Program is designed for you. We offer many birth control options, including abstinence, birth control pills, diaphragm, Depo-Provera, NUVA Ring, ORTHO Evra Patch, IUD and condoms. We also offer emergency contraception. Our health educators are trained to help you select the method that is right for you. |
