IRA Rollover Q&A
If you’re 70 1/2 or older and are looking for different ways to make charitable gifts, you can now take advantage and use your IRA to support the Vista Community Clinic and other charities and organizations you believe in. The recently enacted income-tax-free IRA/charitable rollover law enables you to give us up to $100,000 in 2007 ($200,000 if you and your spouse each has an IRA). The gift must be made directly from your IRA to the Vista Community Clinic or other qualified public charity and you pay no federal income tax on the withdrawal. Although you don’t get a charitable deduction, the tax-free distribution is the equivalent of a charitable deduction. And there’s no adjusted gross income ceiling on deductibility.

Can we tell you the details?

We’d like to answer any questions, without obligation, that you and your advisor may have about this important new law and about Vista Community Clinic. We appreciate your consideration and remind you how much your contribution will significantly increase the Vista Community Clinic resources and enable the Clinic to expand its medical care and health education outreach to the community. Please call the Development office for information and assistance at (760) 631-5000 x1139 or at betsy@vistacommunityclinic.org.

Don’t forget to always consult your own financial advisor—thank you.
