"The program uses the money raised during the Home Tour to cover the primary health care costs for children who cannot afford to pay. Because of this event, we can say we will never turn away a sick child,"said Barbara Mannino, the Chief Executive Officer of the clinic.

The first Sunday in December the Vista Community Clinic holds its major fundraiser of the year, the Holiday Homes Tour. The tour raises funds for the Kare for Kids Fund, which guarantees that "no sick child will ever be turned away" from the Clinic because his/her parents cannot afford medical treatment.

The Holiday Homes Tour features local homes decorated for the holidays and traditionally it also features a local historical adobe. The Tour is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season, and is very popular with North County residents.

Every year the Clinic needs volunteers to help with the tour. Volunteer positions vary from assisting with publicity to acting as docents in the homes.

For more information about volunteering for the Holiday Homes Tour, contact the Jenny Jones at (760) 631-5000 x 1418 or e-mail at
