The program will begin with the showing of a DVD produced by the North Coastal Prevention Coalition.

English-Speaking Forum: Thursday March 25th from 6pm - 8pm
Where: Visa Academy of Visual and Performing Arts

Why is this important?
- Youth who drink before age 15 are four times more likely to develop alcohol dependency than those who begin drinking at the legal age of 21.
- 15% of 7th graders and 33% of high school juniors report drinking alcohol in the past 30 days. (VUSD CA Healthy Kids Survey, 2009).
- Alcohol is the most abused drug by youth, and alcohol is associated with the leading causes of death for teens and young adults, including motor vehicle crashes, homicides and suicides.
