Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Obianuju “Uju” Rivera has been practicing medicine for over a decade. She is passionate about serving the underserved and marginalized population in the community, which is why it was an easy choice to join VCC. She has worked with a diverse population in family medicine and psychiatry, providing culturally competent and patient-centered care. As part of her clinical practice, she promotes health equity and strives to address the social determinants of health that can impact her patients’ overall health outcomes. She has received an award for participating in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Apprentice program and recognition for academic excellence in her clinical training program.
