Dr. Vert chose to become a provider with VCC because he loves working in community health. He strongly believes that community health centers provide essential services to the populations that need it the most, and wants to do his part to support that goal.
His dental work can be done on patients of all ages, but his time as a dentist thus far has focused primarily on providing services to children. As a father to three little boys, Dr. Vert understands how important the early development of oral hygiene skills are, and how pivotal a parent’s roll is.
In his spare time, Dr. Vert loves being involved with his community. He’s helped organize sealant fairs, “Give Kids A Smile” events, and public outreach. Having worked in community health as long as he’s been a dentist, Dr. Vert is great at providing care and education to those in need.
Not to mention, he’s really good at riddles, speaks conversational Korean, and is a huge UCLA fan – his alma mater. His kids also want to make sure all of his patients know his favorite superhero is Batman and his favorite color is blue.

How do you help your patients “Choose Health”?
I want to help encourage patients, especially children, to make healthful decisions on their own and be confident in their smiles. Oral hygiene is a life skill that will benefit the patient for the rest of his or her life.”
