Mendy Rayford is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides integrated behavioral health and developmental support to young children and their families. As a HealthySteps Specialist at VCC, she works closely with pediatric providers to support children ages 0–5 and their caregivers during well-child visits.
Mendy offers guidance on early childhood development, parenting, behavior, sleep, feeding, attachment, and social-emotional health. She also conducts developmental and maternal mental health screenings and helps families connect with community resources, early intervention services, and mental health support when needed.
With experience in hospitals, schools, crisis services, hospice, and child welfare, Mendy brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach to care. She is passionate about building strong parent–child relationships and supporting families so children can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
