Sonya Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through mental health, medical, and life challenges. Her experience includes individual, couples, family, and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention, substance use treatment, case management, and care coordination.
Throughout her career, Sonya has worked with patients facing complex mental health concerns, chronic and serious illness, grief and loss, and substance use. She has also worked extensively with military service members and their families, helping them navigate stress, deployment, family transitions, and other challenges.
Sonya earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, with a concentration in older adults and aging. She is committed to helping patients and families identify their needs, connect with appropriate resources, and receive coordinated support throughout their care.
