VCC Supports Breastfeeding Families

It’s widely recognized that breastfeeding provides ideal nutrition for infants and contributes to their healthy growth and development. No matter what a woman’s breastfeeding goals may be, it’s important she receives reliable information and support throughout her breastfeeding journey.

Here at VCC, we are proud to empower our patients by offering comprehensive lactation services. The first weeks of life can be a challenging time for new parents, but patients will receive the support they need as they learn to latch and position their infant at breast. Before and after birth, patients have the opportunity to meet with a breastfeeding specialist. This gives them the opportunity to learn about the health advantages of breastfeeding, and have their questions answered in a private, comfortable setting. They will also gain peace of mind as they learn about their baby’s behavior, growth spurts and how to maximize their milk production.

We are excited to offer you a weekly breastfeeding support group. There’s no fee to participate.
Meetings: 10-11 a.m. Mondays at VCC: Vale Terrace Women’s Center Classroom 2, 1000 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista
